Domestic Violence Awareness
Our National Philanthropy
Alpha Chi Omega's history is rooted in generosity, compassion, and commitment to our sisters and the greater good.
In 1992 Alpha Chi Omega adopted domestic violence awareness, an issue that affects people all over the world, as our national philanthropy. Together we work to fight against unhealthy relationships and build healthy ones as well as to work to empower our own members by giving them the tools to build their own healthy relationships. Our members come together to raise awareness of domestic violence by educating others on its impact and work hard to ending it. As champions of change, our leadership around this issue is creating a lasting impact in our local communities and the world.
Mr. Alpha Chi
Our Chapter's Spring Philanthropy Event
Alpha Chi Omega introduced our newest and most exciting Spring fundraising event in 2022 called Mr. Alpha Chi. Mr. Alpha Chi is a male pageant with participants from different men's organizations at Texas A&M University. Each man selected will represent a different men's organization competing among the other participants in a talent show, formal wear walk, dance routine, and questionnaire on Alpha Chi Omega's philanthropy. This event was a huge success and we look forward to it every year.
Along with showcasing and promoting different men's organizations, we have a silent auction with prize baskets.
This past fall Zeta Nu raised over $30,000, to help fund our local philanthropy Phoebe's Home.
